The Old Comrades’ Annual Luncheon was held on Thursday 23rd July 2026 at The Cornwallis Suite, Courtney Road, Maidstone. It was a very successful event attended by just over 60 colleagues who enjoyed the company and tasteful meal.

Our branch donated a £50.00 Amazon voucher towards a raffle which raised £620.00 for Kent Association for the Blind

Branch members who attended will be reimbursed £10.00 towards the cost and should contact Stuart Donaldson as above for reimbursement.

Obituaries: The new system of notifying obituaries on the website is now well established giving timely information on funeral arrangements. The short format is retained but a link is added directing to the Member’s Page which is password protected and gives access to the formal obituary notification from FHQ. The password was circulated previously, via email, but if not received (or lost) members should contact Medway@narpo.org for the password which is universal but for members only.

Pass Out Parade: The next recruit Pass Out Parade is scheduled for Friday 4th September 2026 at the Kent Police College, Maidstone. Members wishing to attend should contact Stuart above in the first instance.

Pre-Retirement Course: Follow this link for information on a pre-retirement event “Retirement – Shaping The Future” to be held on 17th October 2026 at the Cornwallis Suite, Tovil, Maidstone.

The course is aimed at serving officers about to retire and those who retired in the past 18 months or so. Not probably applicable to our members but the Branch supported the event with a membership pro-rata contribution of £78.00.
